In June of 2018, James and I were so blessed to be able to travel to Europe for a Mediterranean cruise. It was a blessing because it was a free trip that I earned with Scentsy. :) We got to go on a cruise on the Symphony of the Seas which is the largest cruise ship in the world! Talk about amazing! Our starting point was Barcelona, Spain, and we stopped at Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Provence (Marseilles), France; Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy; Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; and Amalfi coast (Naples), Italy.

The Amalfi coast in Italy was by far our favorite

We loved every port in its own way but the last port was absolutely breathtaking. The port is actually in Naples but Naples wasn't what we wanted to see. We booked an excursion with some friends and 8 of us took off with a private driver to explore the Amalfi coast, Positano, Sorrento, and Pompeii. (Pompeii will have to be another post all on its own. ;) )

It took us about an hour to drive down the coast to Positano and the whole way was just so beautiful! The drive was definitely different than driving through Oklahoma! ha! We drove through two mountain tunnels and drove along narrow and winding roads around the edge of the mountains. I'm just glad there were guardrails! (Which reminds me of whole other story from a time we were in Colorado. lol!)

We stopped at a couple of places along the way and it just got prettier and prettier. Once we arrived in Positano, we got to get out and explore the town for a bit. There were a bunch of cute little shops, beautiful flowers everywhere, and a breathtaking view of the sea.

After Positano we moved on to the town of Sorrento and had lunch and wandered through the town browsing the marketplace for fun souvenirs. It's so fun to see how different parts of the world have shops set up. I love how European towns have the stores open and a lot of stuff outside. With beautiful weather, it made for a lovely day of exploring the area.

We ended the day with an incredible visit to Pompeii. But that will need a whole post of its own so check back soon for that. ;)

Europe is a great place to explore

If you've never traveled to Europe, I would highly encourage it. We've been lucky enough to visit many places in Europe and we have loved it all. There are so many beautiful cities and gorgeous landscapes to see. And it's so fun to experience different cultures and see how people live differently. We can't wait to visit more places!
